Editorial policy
One tool, one page
Each page answers one need. When two pages did the same job we merged them and redirected the old address, so a search or a bookmark always lands on the current version.
Tool first, explanation after
The working tool is at the top of the page. Below it we explain how the result is produced. Tools rebuilt on our current template add a worked example and reference material such as tables or charts.
Sources and dates
Figures that can change, such as rates, thresholds or official dates, are taken from the organisation that sets them and linked on the page. Where a figure could not be confirmed at its source, the page says so. Every tool page carries the date it was last updated; we change that date only when the content or the data really changed.
Authors and reviewers
Pages name an author or reviewer only when a specific, qualified person has written or checked them. Where no name is shown, the page was produced by the BMI360 team from the sources listed on it.
Corrections
If a result looks wrong, check the formula and sources on the page first; they show exactly what the tool does. Confirmed errors are fixed and the page date is updated.
What this site is not
BMI360 gives general information, not medical advice, a diagnosis or an official Army record. If a result worries you, or you are thinking about changing your weight, talk to a doctor, a pediatrician or a registered dietitian. If thoughts about weight or eating are taking over your day, a health professional can help with that too.
